Privacy policy
Last updated 19 October 2026
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-up, no ads.
- Nothing about your child is collected. Progress, coins, badges, routines and any photo face stay on your device.
- No tracking or advertising tools are built into the app.
- If you email us or join a mailing list, we only use your email to reply or to send what you asked for.
Who we are
Pizza Clocks is made by Nick Kelly, an independent developer in the UK. If you have any question about privacy, email hello@pizzaclocks.com.
What stays on your device
Everything the app needs to work is saved on the device you use it on, and is never sent to us:
- stars, coins, badges and best scores
- chosen clock faces, toppings and settings
- routines, the star chart and the teeth-brushing chart
- a name typed onto a certificate
- the grown-up PIN
- a “My face” clock, including any photo used to make it. The photo is processed on the device and is not uploaded anywhere.
Because nothing is stored on our side, we can't see it, recover it or move it to another device. Clearing your browser's website data, or deleting the app, removes it.
Children
Pizza Clocks is designed for children to use with a grown-up nearby. We do not ask children for any personal information, there is no chat or sharing with other users, and there are no ads. Links that leave the app, such as the guides, feedback and the tip page, are inside the grown-ups area behind a PIN.
The website (pizzaclocks.com)
- Hosting: the site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, its servers briefly handle standard technical information such as your IP address so the pages can be delivered and protected from attacks.
- Visit counts: we look at Netlify's anonymous totals, such as how many people visited a page and from which country. These come from the server and do not use cookies or identify you.
- Fonts: the website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers.
- Spoken times: the voice uses the speech built into your device or browser. Some browsers, such as Chrome on a computer, may use an online voice provided by the browser maker.
- No cookies are set by Pizza Clocks for tracking or advertising.
If you contact us or join a list
- Feedback emails: if you email hello@pizzaclocks.com or use the feedback button, we see your email address and what you write. The feedback button adds basic technical details (app version, device type, screen size) so we can fix problems. We use this only to reply and to improve Pizza Clocks.
- Clock waiting list: if you join the list for the physical Pizza Clock, your email address is stored with Netlify, our host. We will only use it to tell you about the clock, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Tips: Buy Me a Coffee handles tips on its own site under its own privacy policy. We see the name and message you choose to share.
We never sell or share your email address.
The App Store app
The iPhone and iPad app works the same way: progress stays on the device, and it contains no advertising or analytics tools. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details. Timer reminders are scheduled on the device itself.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello@pizzaclocks.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
